Hello again, dear bloggers. Today's topic is "Wisdom is of God."
1) Why do we say that wisdom is God?
God throughout the years has shown us his wisdom. For example, to create the earth, he made perfect.
"How many are your works, Oh Lord wisdom you made them all: the earth is full of thy riches." (Psalm 104: 24)
"The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; he established the heavens in his knowledge the depths are broken up, And the skies drop down the dew.." (Proverbs 3: 19-20)
Surely wisdom is of God. Not only it manifested in creation, but also in the Church.
So that the manifold wisdom of God might be known by the church to the principalities and powers in heavenly places (Ephesians 3:10)
2) What is wisdom?
The word wisdom is the word "kjókma" in Hebrew, means "science, understanding, intelligence"
Let's see what God's word says about it. "And the man said." Behold, the fear of the Lord is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding "(Job 28:28) As we can see the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God Have fear of God is I respect it. it is also worship and reverence.
We could say that wisdom is knowledge gained through understanding. Look at it another way, may possess great knowledge of the Bible, but if you practice in your daily life, anything will do. Wisdom is put into practice.
3) How do we get wisdom?
Wisdom is God, therefore only he can give it to us. Let us then God for wisdom.
"But if any of you seen sulfate wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it shall be given" (James 1: 5)
-taking Fear of God, obeying and worshiping
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; And the knowledge of the holy is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
So, receiving an immoveable kingdom, let God acceptably with reverence and awe
(Hebrews 12:28)
-Maintaining A daily relationship with God
With him is wisdom and strength; He hath counsel and understanding. (Job 12:13)
- Obeying:
Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. (Psalm 25: 8-9) Meets the ordinances of the Lord your God, doing his will and obeying his laws, commandments, decrees and mandates as they are written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in everything you do and where you go (1 Romans 2: 3)
- Thanks to the Holy Spirit
But to each one is given him manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. They indeed, to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; (1 Corinthians 12: 7-8)
4) Why do we benefit from having wisdom?
- It gives us life, "For shield is wisdom, and shield is money, but the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who possess"
(Ecclesiastes 7:12)
- It strengthens us: "Wisdom strengthens the wise more than ten rulers that is in the city"
(Ecclesiastes 7:19)
- It helps us to bear fruit: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, mild, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17)
-We Protects from evil, "My son, attend to my wisdom, my intelligence and incline your ear, that you may maintain discretion and your lips may keep knowledge For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her mouth is. . smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword her feet go down to death; her steps lead to hell} + (Proverbs 5: 1-5).
We should note that there are two types of wisdom, the earthly and the heavenly.
Those without heavenly wisdom, can not understand what God commands.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things; but he is not judged by anyone. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that you instruct? But we have the mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2: 14-16
